July 13 Part Two!In what has turned out to actually be quite a hilarious neighborhood 'feud', our south side neighbors were at it again last night. Remember these are the people who came over to our house and made my landlords come down and ask me to move my car because it was on the street in front of their house....
So I got home at the same time as them yesterday, and because our household now has two more permanent cars to park and apparently three temporary ones, as well as all the tenants in the houses etc... there was no parking in front of our house, so I parked in front of the neighbors house... (which isn't against the law btw). Anyway, ladyneighbor pulled up behind me in her car and was waving maniacly to the effect of 'move up, move up, get out of this parking spot'... which made me chuckle... it also made me behave slightly childishly and I took my time gathering all my stuff up to take inside, while she sat in her car... for whatever reason.... I figured I'd make a pit stop at the front door, so as to inform the landlords that should neighbors come over, I would not be moving my car, so to please not waste theirs or my tiime by asking.. which they thought was a reasonble thing. Anyway, P and I went out a couple hours later and were gone for maybe 45 min... when we came back, manneighbor was outside on the grassy area next to the street, kind of wandering back and forth... because ladyneighbor had pretty much pinned me into the spot earlier, I chose to park in a now empty spot in front of my house, rather than to squeeze my car into the one in front of their house (which I normally would do, just to be spiteful in this stupid situation). Anyway, once I had parked my car, manneighbor got his keys, got into his car, WARMED IT UP (let it run for a bit) and then MOVED it about 5 feet forward so that no one else could park in front of his house... It was SO funny... especially because before we got to our street, I mentioned to P that I'd bet him a dollar that they'd moved the car into that spot and he refused to take the bet, because the agreed with me... so when we got home and they actually MOVED THE CAR, I was speechless!
It's quite silly! Who has time for that... If it's available, I ALWAYS park in my own spot in front of our house.... it's the area where I can see the gutter on the back of the garage from just between the bush and the fence in the yard... I've parked in that exact spot for over three years! HOwever, if that spot is unavailable, I will ALWAYS now default to parking in front of the south neighbors house.... only because they're being stupid about it...
LMAO... who has time for that! Obviously they do!
Not much else to tell... going on an adventure picnic tomorrow am... going to kickboxing tonight... that' about it...
D July 11 Ode to My Kathleen....Come back... come back... I miss you too much for you to be gone from me for two weeks! I realize that you've only been gone for three days, but that's three days too many if you ask me! But with that said, of course I'm thrilled that you're with your EG, climbing and cuddling and hauling eachother out of crevaces etc... Sounds like... fun?
So, with that little tidbit of business out of the way... man is it HOT here! I love it! Altho I think my desk chair would be more suitable if it had built in airconditioning in it... or a seat made out of ice... it makes me sweaty!
So not much is new around here... Still goin' to boot three days a week... we have some injuries plaguing the platoon, which always sucks, but I'm determined that in spite of my temporary health glich I'll still be going three days a week. P and I have been slowly but steadily throwing out/donating our unneeded items and clothes and combining our houses. It's been pretty smooth and it's kinda fun... I like getting rid of stuff that I don't need, or forgot I had... Our apartment is HUGE now that we've changed some furniture around and gotten rid of a lot of 'flotsam/jetsam'... Anyway, so that's what we've been doing... yesterday we 'donated' three truckloads of furniture to a friend of mine who's here for school and has no furniture and less money.... she was very appreciative and it was nice seeing the stuff go to good use.
This weekend we're hoping to go to Bridal falls or something to take pictures and spend some time outside. I've been feeling kinda shitty lately and my head feels like a trip to somewhere with running water and trees and the smell of the outside will make me feel better... maybe revive me a little....
Anyway, better run and get some work done... altho I think that on top of everything else I'm trying to struggle through, my brain might actually be melting.... good times!
D June 29 Now that things are happening...Okay, well things are always happening, but there's a good number of things going on, so I figured I'd write a little update... not that anyone reads this anymore.... honestly I could care less... I mostly write for me, so I remember when I read back on stuff.
So P and I are moving in together... which is so cool. I'm ridiculously happy and completely in love... yup.. in looooove ;)
We're in the process of getting rid of some old furniture and stuff and getting new storage and furniture, kinda redoing the kitchen and eating area of the apartment... painting that area, painting some of the other furniture and when we're not doing that we're probably best found on the sofa watching our newest addiction, West Wing on DVD... well, actually that was a pre-existing P addiction, but he's now got me addicted...
I've been going to boot somewhat regularily now... July is no nonsense month for me! I've got a goal in mind and I'll stop at nothing to acheive it.... well... I might stop at a cocktail bun every once in a while, but NOTHING else... in all seriousness tho, my wardrobe situation has gotten to a point that's on the other side of ridiculous! However, I can't really be purchasing clothes, because at the rate I'm going, if I bought pants today, by the end of July, they would no longer fit... so I crabbily try and get dressed in the morning... with my three pairs of pants (two of which are jeans that are a little too big) and handful of tops that I have. Honestly, if it wasn't for K, I wouldn't have a thing to wear.. that girl keeps me in tops for sure!
In the spirit of doing new things and staying active, especially since obviously we aren't getting a summer this year, I've taken on two other extra curricular activities for the next 6 weeks. The one that starts first is Pussycat Dolls Dance Class. That's right! ME... dancing... what a disturbing thought! However, since I actually ENJOY dancing but am horrible at it, this is a good idea. Me and Burger and Sharon (we need to get her a nickname) and R and our intern Meggi are doing it together. Thursday nights from 7-8 for six weeks... and no I will not dance for you, or 'show' you, so don't even bother asking!
Then on Friday nights for four weeks P and I are signed up to do a kickboxing class. It's a couples thing, which is cool, so you go together, have a built in partner and practice person and we get to learn some kickboxing, which we both really like. That's on Friday nights at Nat Bailey Stadium or something... I'm excited for that... and then I'll be doing boot 3 days a week for the month, with the idea of not missing any days... That's the plan.
Hopefully one of these days we'll get to go kayaking too, but we'll probably wait till Katapilla gets home from her holiday with EG... that's right EG! Because he's comin' home on Sunday!
Yipeee!
Anyway, gotta run and get some stuff done....

I am just writing to inform you that I have found a new owner and home. An owner who loves and cherishes me, and takes me on trips around the world. Something we once shared, but you have now forgotten about. You talked very briefly about taking me to Tofino this weekend, but how quickly you forgot about me when that P dude returned. Well someone else did not forget about me and is making that happen. For a while now I've longed to be nestled in the arms of someone who cares about me, and finally I have that dream. Next month we will also be travelling to Bugaboo Park together, where we'll fall asleep under the stars keeping eachother warm. The adventures will be endless. I hope you can understand, and I hope one day that you will look back and remember me. Perhaps you will take away something from this lesson so that you're not doomed to repeat it. June 03 A Thuper ThurpritheNow, if you're following along on the Sleeps till P gets home countdown, which I sincerely doubt you are, you'll notice that my math seems a bit off and I may be having some 'wishful thinking' problems... hahah.. NOPE! The sleeps went from 31 to 12 because my man is coming home a little early!  I miss him so much and this was just one of the best surprises... apparently he was going to try to come home early without me knowing and surprise me that way, but with the absense of any kind of reliable internet connection and telephone, it was getting too difficult so he emailed me on Friday night and asked me to change his flights for him... While I would have loved the surprise of him showing up on my doorstep (and I possibly may have peed my pants), I also love knowing that he's coming home earlier and the anticipation of such is a really good thing to, so I like it this way. Had a pretty fantastic weekend, a weird Friday evening combined with a fantastic bbq and afterparty on Saturday and a day spent hungover and napping on Sunday made for a pretty good weekend... I'll be busier than a bee next weekend as it's the last weekend before P comes home, but that's fine with me :) That is all! D May 31 LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!This time of the year always makes me think about the past, think about everything that has happened in the last couple years and how much has changed... P ~ While he's far away right now, he's in my
 all the time and he makes me so happy. He makes me laugh and cares for me when I cry... He knows my quirks and likes me anyway... He makes my heart happy and I hope I do the same for him. I am SO glad I found him! And that I can call him mine! MINE MINE MINE!!Katapilla ~ OMG, I've never known a friend like you! I often try to think how I would describe you to people and I come up short because I've never known someone like you before. You're a pillar of strength, absolutely hilarious, gorgeous and mine... (notice a pattern here?) You seemingly love me unconditionally, which makes me feel so blessed!
Burger ~ Girl, you're just the best! I don't know anyone else (except K) that I could call up in extreme hysterics... not making one coherent sentance in the bunch and you still dont' think I'm insane... Okay, well you may think I'm insane, but you don't let on, which is awesome! I hope I'm as good a friend to you as you are to me... Fate brought me P and he brought me you, which I'm so grateful for... and you're mine!
Mmmm ~ I know we don't spend tons of time together, but you're one of the blessings in my life that I'm most grateful for. You're an amazing friend, you're hilarious (tit...hahha!) and I don't know what I would do with out you. We work hard together and commiserate together... What's better than that! You're my inspiration for getting out of bed at 4 in the morning most mornings and my guilt when I don't! and you're mine!
ASH ~ Dude, what would life be without an Ash in it? Boring for sure! You're an anomaly of a person... You're so wise, so rational and with such a fire in you that people are drawn to you! You've been my moment of rationality at times... and been wise enough to not answer my incredibly dumb questions when I'm so messed up that I have the nonsense to ask them! Your smile lights up a room... or the outdoors and I'm so glad that you're mine!
Dino ~ I know that we aren't the best of friends, and in a pinch you'd probably deny knowing me, but I am in definate appreciation of your presence in my life! You push me to try as hard as I can at boot and absolutely inspire me with how much you love O!
You guys are all people that I've found in the last year and have made this one of the most amazing years of my life! I'm a happier, healthier person because of knowing you guys! So, I'm dedicating today to you guys! Instead of thinking about bullshit and nasty happenings, I plan on thinking of and being incredibly grateful for knowing you!

D May 29 How Eventful!So I get back to
the office after a little excursion to our clients and find a firetruck
blocking the entrance to the underground parking... not thinking
anything of this, I uturn and park on the street... and come into the
office to find the most irritable noise screaching out of the fire
alarm... apparently this has been going on since I had left the office,
so I go to where the firetruck is, to investigate what I assume is a
false alarm or a bum who lit the dumpster on fire... and run into our
neighbor guy... who's car has exploded in the underground parkinglot...
Seriously! It is... I mean was.... a 67 Bellville or something... some
giant boat of an old cadillacy car... he went down to start it and the
thing burst into flames... I presumed (again, not a good batting
average for me today) that he was exaggerating and that it was a small
bit of smoke and he kind of over reacted because there were other cars
around... not so much! On my second walk over to the firetrucks some 10
min later, I find black smoke BILLOWING out of every vent and airhole
in the building... another fire truck has shown up, they have TWO of
the big main flow hoses hooked up to the trucks and firefighters in
full respirators and headlamps etc... were heading into the parking
garage with their axes... The axes didn't make Carownerguy very happy
to see...
Around an hour later the alarm finally got turned off and the firetrucks left another twenty or so minutes after that...
R and I went down to investigate about
an hour ago and now I stink! We got in the elevator and were
overwhelmed by the smell of burnt plastic and char... Once down in the
basement we both realized that it was a VERY poor idea to go down there
as the whole floor was still filled with smoke, and there was nothing
to see as they towed the car away already... But in the short time we
were down there we managed to get pretty smelly! It reminds me of the
time that we nearly burnt R's house down in the 'egg boiling incident'
and smelled of smoke and char for days... hopefully a shower after work
will get this smell off, as we weren't exposed to it for too long...
I think Carownerguy has probably had better days... especially since we're pretty sure that the car was NOT insured... oops!
Nothing else much to report... This
weekend was fun... Friday night me and K went out for some eats and
drinks.... Saturday morning me, Burger and K went out for some eats and
then had a photoshoot on the beach... the pics turned out great as K is
an amazing photographer! Sunday was pretty low key... Eats with K in
the morning to stave off her hangover and went to the storage locker to
give myself a concussion with sister a little later... (K, we ate a lot
this weekend!)
Only 4 more weekends till my man comes home!

Pretty excited about that! This Saturday is the 1 year shindig for
boot... which promises to be ridiculous! We were supposed to go to
Tofino to go surfing the following weekend, but that's been postponed,
so don't know what's going on that weekend now... kayaking maybe... Anyway, that's pretty much all that's going on with me... going to boot regularily again, which is nice...

I look like I've been 5 rounds and didn't get a lick in in one of them... what do I mean?
Oh, I got a bug bite under my eye and it's swollen up so much I can SEE it when I look straight ahead... my entire tearduct is BRIGHT RED and my cheek is completely puffy! I also got another one above that same eyebrow which is slowly starting to swell up nicely... looks like I got hit with a hammer... just thought I'd share ;)
D May 26 An interesting situationSo I'm sitting here, post-bubble bath, listening to Faith Hill's Fireflies blasting out of my soundock and contemplating the thing that is Facebook... Or Facecrack as it's affectionatley known... Here's why... Because when you reconnect with a bunch of people, friends, whom you haven't seen or spoken to in the last 10ish years, the immediate question you each ask, is 'What have you been up to... how's life treated you?' Which is obviously why you're reconnecting.. to catch up.. to share joy in the events of the last 10 years... But it's VERY hard to sum up 10 years in an email or FB note of a reasonable length... not to mention that reconnecting with a dozen or so people at the same time means that you're being asked, and asking the same question a dozen or so times... it's a very bizarre thing to me... The internet wows me... and no, I'm not simple... ;) So I decided that I'd rather tell a story... here... cause the general stuff is the same stuff you want to tell everyone... I'll start from after graduation from Highschool, since most of you are people I've known from HS and Bible College... Obviously because some of you don't actually know me, I'm editing out the identifying information 1996- Graduated from XXXXXX High School and the following fall moved to Abbotsford BC to go to Bible College at XXX. I went for one semester there, but due to money constraints, I couldn't continue, so I moved back home to Prince George. I worked at Superstore as a cashier for 2 (or 3... it's hard to remember) years, until I was promoted to a Supervisor and relocated to Williams Lake to supervise 40+ employees on the Front End and Manage the store two or three days a week. My boss unfortunately was a complete jerk and I ended up quitting there to save my sanity and moving to Chilliwack... My twin sister had already moved from Red Deer to the Lower Mainland as had my mom, so it was the obvious choice as no one was left in PG. I moved from Chilliwack to Langley to Surrey to Vancouver in the following 2 1/2 years and have been here in Vancouver ever since. I worked as a CSR at the Brick in Richmond for around 2 years before getting recruited to work in an interior design office to run and manage the company. That was about a year and again, unfortunately miserable... some people shouldn't be allowed to procreate! I left there and my girlfriend and I opened our own interior design company coming on 4 years ago in September. We've been doing great! In the 4 years, all of our business has come from referrals and we haven't spent a dollar on advertising... we get business cards printed up at a rapid rate and that's been keeping us busy for the last 3 1/2 years. On the 'personal' side... not much to report... no husband, no kids... I have an AMAZING boyfriend, who I just went to Thailand with about three weeks ago... That was the adventure of a lifetime, let me tell you... My life's pretty basic now... I live in an apartment in Vancouver. My sister lives in Surrey... we see eachother every couple of weeks or so... I get up at 4:30 in the mornings to go down to the beach to work out with a group of the most incredible people you'll ever meet... These people are the joy in my life... just had to throw that in there... because as I look at the comments on my wall of people I'm reconnecting with, I see people that I AM connected with and think, man, I could not BE more blessed! I guess the thing about facebook that touches me (cheese factor) is that you realize that the people in your life, whether on a daily basis or not so daily... people that you've been in touch with or haven't, are what makes you who you are. They are what makes you proud to be you, proud to be able to call yourself a friend to amazing people. (I guess that only goes for the people on FB who actually add people they care about... the people in a popularity contest don't count ;) ) Anyway... that's pretty much what I've been up to... not too exciting, but it's mine! I should also just say that all of you guys that I've added and reconnected with have never fallen from my memory... There are many of you that I think about all the time... who I wondered about... some of you that I've wanted to connect with for a long time... Just wanted to let you know that there are a couple dozen pics up from Thailand now... under the album Thailand... most are captioned... I have more to do, but those are the ones with us in them, for the most part... the tiger day, the elephant day... that's pretty much it...
Sorry I haven' been updating lately... haven' been in the mood.... That'll change...
D May 11 Home...Well, I'm home... have been home for nearly a week now... will be a week tomorrow... this week didn't exactly go so well... my jetlag turned into insomnia and I was a walking zombie for 5 days... I've finally just started sleeping the night before last... Went to boot this morning, on little sleep and less food and that wasn't the funnest time I had but ya gotta jump back in sometime. P's in Phuket now, altho I haven't gotten an 'I'm here and settled' email from him yet, so this is making me a little nervous... I'm sure he's fine and just hasn't gotten internet yet, but you know me... a bit of a worrier... sorry hon! He comes back in about 6 1/2 weeks... in that time I'll be boxing on Saturday mornings with my friend Ash, we're going OCP Kayaking, will be doing boot 3 days a week this month and possibly 5 days a week next month... P and I are in a competition of sorts, so will be trying my hardest to work as hard as I can while he's gone to lose lbs and inches... I think he's got the upper hand, but that won't stop me from going down swinging... (couldn't resist the fighting reference ;) ) Thailand was super amazing and I had the greatest time of my life, thanks in huge part to P being an amazing travelling partner and all around super duper person! We had some great laughs, experienced some amazing culture and took in some of what modern Asia has to offer in the way of malls and movie theaters etc... We're already planning on going to Singapore at this time next year to continue our tour of Asia, which is so exciting! I'll try to get a link up to some Thailand pictures for ya... maybe will just post the ones of us doing fun stuff on here and forget about posting the rest, as they can be pretty boring with no commentary and are mostly of scenery and things... If you want more and I know you... you must have my email so hit me up, and I'd be glad to email you... :) D May 04 I is comin' homeHi! Tomorrow I'll be home... :) I can't wait to sleep in my own bed and shower in my own shower... but I'm torn, cause I've loved every minute of being here and I leave P here for two months, so that doesn't make me too happy.. I get in to Vancouver around 11am on Saturday morning... I'll turn my phone on in the afternoon sometime... And I'll put a big update in here on the weekend... Till then... D P.s.
